Helen C.Adams, Shareholder, Dickinson, Mackaman, Tyler & Hagen, P.C .
Helen C. Adams is a shareholder with Dickinson, Mackaman, Tyler & Hagen, P.C. in Des Moines, Iowa. She is the Chair of the Iowa State Bar Association's Federal Practice Committee, a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, Litigation and Employment Law Sections, the American Bar Association and the Polk County Bar Association. Ms. Adams is a frequent author and speaker on employment-related topics for human resource professionals.
Prior to joining the Dickinson Law Firm in August of 1990, Ms. Adams served as a federal law clerk to the Honorable Harold Vietor, then Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. She received her Juris Doctor with High Distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law where she served as the First Vice Chairperson of the Moot Court Board and President of the Student Bar Association.

Sharon P. Margello is a shareholder with Stanton, Hughes, Diana, Cerra, Mariani & Margello in New Jersey. She represents management in all areas of labor and employment law, concentrating in employment discrimination and wrongful discharge litigation. Ms. Margello regularly conducts training programs for management and non-management personnel in the areas of sexual harassment and other employment-related issues, has lectured extensively and is a frequent speaker at human resources conferences for New Jersey Employers.
Ms. Margello was editor of The Employment Law Reference Manual, A Business Guide to New Jersey and Federal Labor Laws that was published by Association Press, Inc. and the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Margello is a member of the Executive Committee of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New York Bar and the American Bar Association. She is a graduate of New York Law School.
Michael C. Santo, Partner, Dufford, Waldeck, Milburn & Krohn, L.L.P.
Michael C. Santo is a partner with the law firm of Dufford, Waldeck, Milburn & Krohn, L.L.P. in Colorado. He has experience in federal and state litigation and administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, the Colorado Division of Labor and Employment and the Federal and State Departments of Labor. Mr. Santo serves as an advisor for his clients regarding discrimination issues, the Fair Labor Standards Act, representation issues, arbitrations, OSHA, and contract and tort litigation arising from the employer-employee relationship.
Mr. Santo is a member of the Colorado and Mesa County Bar Associations and is an editor of the Employer's Advisory, a quarterly newsletter about developments in employment law. He co-authored a chapter of The Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Employment Law. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Law School.
W. Edward Singletary, Powers Associates
W. Edward (Ed) Singletary is an attorney, mediator and trainer in North Carolina with over a decade of experience resolving labor and employment disputes. As a former Equal Employment Opportunity Commission trial attorney and as a private practitioner, Mr. Singletary has litigated against Fortune 500 companies as well as a number of smaller employers. He is currently a proponent of litigation prevention through sound and creative employee relations practices.
Mr. Singletary consults employers on EEO and affirmative action issues and internal dispute resolution procedures. This includes conducting compliance audits and coordinating specific training for both management level and other employees. He also has experience in employment practice risk management with a major Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) carrier. Mr. Singletary is a graduate of Duke University and Wake Forest University School of Law.
Charles L. Thompson IV, Partner, Kauff McClain & McGuire LLP
Charles L. Thompson IV is a partner in Kauff McClain & McGuire LLP in California. He has extensive litigation and trial experience representing employers in wrongful termination, discrimination, and other employment-related cases. Mr. Thompson primarily counsels employers in all areas of employment law. This includes employee discipline and termination, ADA compliance in the workplace, and the Family Medical Leave Act. He assists employers in the area of layoffs and reorganizations. He also advises and defends employers regarding wage and hour compliance including independent contractor and exempt/non-exempt status issues. Mr. Thompson creates and provides workplace-training programs for California employers on sexual harassment, workplace violence, corrective action and discipline, workplace investigations, managing the borderline employee, and avoiding wrongful termination claims. He is frequently a featured speaker on various employment topics. Mr. Thompson earned his law degree from University of Texas School of Law.
Marcia Hakanson, President, Hakanson Resources
Marcia Hakanson, MBA, is President of Hakanson Resources, an HR training and consulting firm in California. She has over sixteen years experience in human resources and training. Ms. Hakanson focuses her consulting practice on facilitation, customization and tailoring of training materials for client organizations. Her corporate experience stems from positions with Chevron Chemical Company, Bank of America, Charles Schwab & Company, Transamerica & Bechtel Pacific Ltd. She is a member of the American Society for Training & Development and the Northern California Human Resources Council.
Ms. Hakanson's extensive client list includes ARCO Products Company, Valin Corporation, The Pacific Exchange, the Pacific Exchange, and other small-to mid-sized companies across the United States. She has authored over forty management publications. Ms. Hakanson graduated from University of California at Berkeley and received her MBA from University of San Francisco.
Steve Hewitt, President, The Hewitt Group
Steve Hewitt is President of The Hewitt Group, a firm that provides consulting and training services in leadership, organizational effectiveness, team building and human resources. He is the author of numerous articles on leadership and on human resources topics that have been featured in a number of publications. Prior to his consulting career, Mr. Hewitt held senior positions in several Fortune 500 companies. He frequently travels across the US facilitated training and workshops for thousands of individuals across all levels of organizations.
Mr. Hewitt holds a BS degree in Management from Virginia Tech and has earned Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Human Resources Certification. He has taught the preparation course for HR professionals seeking HRCI certification.
Jan Robinson, Founder, Alamo Management Group
Jan Robinson is the founder of the Alamo Management Group in California, a consulting practice offering a wide range of human resource services to business clients. She provides practical solutions to human resource challenges, coaches management, and trains staff to increase productivity. Ms. Robinson has more than twenty-five years of personnel management experience.
Prior to starting her own consulting practice, Ms. Robinson spent twelve years in HR positions with various corporations, including Director of Human Resources. She has written dozens of management reference publications, lectured at the university level, and conducted workshops and training programs across the U.S. Ms. Robinson earned a BA with honors in Sociology-Psychology. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, the Employment Managers Association and the American Society of Training and Development.
Gilma (Mimi) Diaz-Greco, Attorney At Law
Mimi Diaz-Greco is a consultant in Florida on all aspects of human resource matters. She teaches employment law in both the public and the private sector and has years of management and legal council experience in different sized corporations. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Diaz-Greco supervised human resources in several organizations. She has worked as associate counsel for a national non-profit company where she provided legal services primarily in the area of human resources. Ms. Diaz-Greco has a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, a Master's Degree in International Business, and a Juris Doctorate.
Michelda Johnson, President, Innovative HR Consultants
Michelda Johnson is currently the President of Innovative HR Consultants in the Atlanta, Georgia area where she provides superior and innovative HR resolution and training for small to midsize companies. She has more than ten years of Human Resources experience in varying roles of HR Management. Her primary specialties include the implementation of start-up human resource departments, employee and supervisor training and development, designing cost-effective benefit solutions, and developing recruiting and selection strategies in an effort to minimize turnover. Prior to starting Innovative HR Consultants, Ms. Johnson worked as the Director of Human Resources for a major international corporation.
